Cookie Policy
Choose Essential only and this site sets no cookies at all, storing just two small values in your own browser: your choice on the consent banner, and how you arrived. Analytics and advertising are separate choices, and neither loads anything until you make it. This page explains all of it, and how to remove it.

The short version
If you choose Essential only, this site sets no cookies at all. It stores two small values in your browser, one to remember your choice on the consent banner and one to remember how you arrived, and nothing about your visit is sent to anyone else.
If you choose Analytics only, we also load HubSpot, which tells us which pages people read before they get in touch. It sets four cookies, listed in full below.
If you choose Accept all, we additionally load the LinkedIn Insight Tag. This one is for advertising: it lets LinkedIn recognise your browser and show you our ads there. It also tells us which of those ads led to an enquiry.
We do not sell your data, whichever choice you make.
What we store even if you accept nothing
Both values below are stored by your own browser on your own device, and neither is a cookie. Neither is sent anywhere as you browse. The source context is included only if, and at the moment when, you choose to submit one of our forms.
- feg-consent, kept until you clear it: records which of the three choices you made on the consent banner, so we do not ask again on every page.
- feg-attribution, kept until you close the tab: records the page you landed on, the campaign parameters in the link you followed, and the domain that referred you. We keep the referring domain only, never the full address, and only the first visit in a session is recorded.
Optional analytics, and the cookies they set
If you choose Analytics only or Accept all, we load HubSpot analytics. HubSpot is the system we use to manage enquiries, and its analytics tell us which pages people read before getting in touch, so we can write better ones. It sets the four cookies below.
If you choose Essential only, none of this loads and none of these cookies is set. Not deferred, not anonymised: the script is never requested at all, so nothing about your visit reaches HubSpot.
Choosing Analytics only stops here. The next section covers what Accept all adds on top of it.
- hubspotutk: identifies your browser to HubSpot. If you later submit one of our forms, this is what lets us see which pages you read before you wrote to us. It persists between visits.
- __hstc: the main analytics cookie, recording when you first visited, when you last visited, and when this visit began. It persists between visits.
- __hssc: records the current visit, so a single session is not counted as several. It expires shortly after you stop browsing.
- __hssrc: a single value used to work out whether you have started a new session. It is cleared when you close your browser.
Optional advertising, and the cookies it sets
If you choose Accept all, we also load the LinkedIn Insight Tag. It tells LinkedIn that this browser visited our site. That lets LinkedIn show you our advertising on LinkedIn, and lets us see which of our ads led to an enquiry. LinkedIn may also use it to group people who have read particular pages, so we can advertise to that group later.
If you choose Essential only or Analytics only, none of this loads. The script is never requested, so LinkedIn learns nothing about your visit.
These cookies are set on LinkedIn's own domain rather than ours, which matters for two reasons. LinkedIn controls them, not Future Energy Global. And clearing site data for this website will not remove them, so the section below explains where to go instead.
LinkedIn's standard installation also includes a tracking image for browsers with JavaScript switched off. We have left it out. Nothing in it can wait for your choice, so it would load before you had made one.
The cookies below are the ones LinkedIn publishes for advertising and for recognising its members away from LinkedIn, which is the work this tag does. The descriptions and the lifetimes are LinkedIn's own, taken from its cookie table on 24 September 2026. Because LinkedIn sets these on its own domain and can change them, that table stays the current and authoritative list.
Whether they are set at all depends on your browser. Several now block or separate third-party cookies by default, and where that happens the tag stores nothing.
- bcookie: LinkedIn's browser identifier, which it uses to recognise the device and to detect abuse of its own platform. LinkedIn gives it a year.
- lidc: chooses which LinkedIn data centre answers the request. It expires within a day.
- li_sugr: used to make a probable match between this browser and a person. LinkedIn gives it 90 days.
- UserMatchHistory: records when LinkedIn last synchronised its advertising identifiers for this browser, so it does not repeat the work on every page. LinkedIn gives it 30 days.
- AnalyticsSyncHistory: records when that same synchronisation last happened for the analytics identifier. LinkedIn gives it 30 days.
- lms_ads: used to recognise LinkedIn members away from LinkedIn, for advertising. LinkedIn gives it 30 days.
- lms_analytics: used to recognise LinkedIn members away from LinkedIn, for analytics. LinkedIn gives it 30 days.

When you press play, the YouTube player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. From then on YouTube may store information on your device to run the player and remember your settings. Nothing loads, and nothing is stored, before you press play.
Our hosting provider
This site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver pages and to protect the site from attack and abuse. That processing is necessary to run the site securely and happens whether or not you accept optional analytics.
Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie of its own to tell real visitors from automated traffic. It is used only to keep the site available and is not used to profile you or to advertise to you.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your choice at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings. That removes both stored values and any HubSpot cookies you accepted. The banner will then appear again on your next visit, and you can choose again.
The LinkedIn cookies are the exception, because they sit on LinkedIn's domain and not ours. Clearing data for this website leaves them in place. To remove those, clear cookies for linkedin.com, or use the advertising controls in your LinkedIn settings, which work whether or not you have an account with them.
Clearing site data will not delete anything you have already sent us through a form. To ask us to delete that, see our privacy policy.
